2 Month Check-up

Today was Nora's two month check-up, and we are happy to say that she looks great! She weighs 9 lbs., 14 oz. and is 21 3/4 inches long. She is in the 25-30th percentile for both height and weight, so she is a petite little thing!

Dr. Glover also said that Nora appears to be advanced socially for a two month old. I asked him what he meant by that, and he said that when he laid her down, she was very responsive to him and told him right away that she was not happy with what he was doing. Most babies, he said, are pretty cooperative and don't respond too much when they are only two months old. Nora, however, told him right away that she wasn't getting what she wanted. I told Dr. Glover that that was a daily occurrence!

Nora also had her first set of shots today....and she did great! She got really mad when the nurse stuck her, but it went really fast and as soon as I picked her up she stopped crying and is doing well so far! We are so blessed to have a happy and healthy little girl.

The Pumpkin Patch

Last Saturday, Jonathan and I took Nora along with the Robert, Amy, and Layla Townsend to the Fruit and Berry Patch in Halls, TN. There we took the little girls to the pumpkin patch to pick their first pumpkins. We had to wake Nora up from a nap to get her picture taken in the field, so she wasn't very happy as the picture shows. Most of the pumpkins had already been cut or harvested, so the pickings were rather slim, but we all walked away with a pumpkin and some great pictures.

Experimenting with Video on the Blog

I am just trying this out, so bear with me. Here is some video of Nora screaming her lungs out when she doesn't get her way....which is quite often. Enjoy!

Tea and Crumpets, Anyone?

Last weekend, my mom, known as "Nana" to Nora, came up for a whirlwind visit. We were so glad she came to spend some time with us, even though it was such a short trip. She brought Nora a few gifts, but our favorite was definitely the hat seen in the pictures below. Normally, Nora is not a fan of hats, but she cooperated with us for a while with this one. She'll definitely be styling in the winter months with this one!

Time With Daddy

Recently I was able to capture some priceless pictures of Nora spending time with her Daddy.
We were even able to capture a semi-decent picture of her smiling. It's best seen in person, though.

...And We're Back

Hello All!

I apologize for it taking me nearly a month to post a new update on us! The past four weeks have been a whirlwind. We have had company visiting us for the past 4 weekends, so needless to say, we have been quite busy. Also, a few weeks ago I knocked Jonathan's laptop off of our ottoman and broke it, so we were out of commission for a while with our computer.

Our little Nora has grown quite a bit this past month. At her one month check up, she weighed in at 8 lbs., 6 oz. and measured 21 inches in length. Since then, she's definitely been chunking up and has been working overtime on developing her double chin! She's quite adorable! She has started smiling and is just beginning to make her first sounds and coos.

Here are some recent pics! I promise to post more frequently!
