Birth Day

Just wanted to let everyone know that if our little Nora doesn't come on her own in the next two days, we are scheduled to induce her on her due date. Tuesday, August 21st at 6:00 am, I'll be induced at Parkwest Medical Center here in Knoxville.

It's so hard to believe that these 40 weeks have come and gone so quickly! I have had such a wonderful pregnancy with zero complications and few discomforts! We are praying for a safe, quick, healthy, and as pain-free as possible delivery. We'll keep you posted on our girl's arrival.

This Girl is Loved!

About two weeks ago, two of my closest friends from college drove up from Jackson, Mississippi to spend the weekend with Jonathan and I. Suzanne and Karen arrived in Knoxville on Friday night and left early Sunday morning....what a quick visit! Even though we weren't together even 48 hours, we had such a wonderful and relaxing weekend together.

In addition to the long talks, yummy home-cooked breakfast (group effort), girlie movies, and inevitable trip to the mall, one of the things that brought Suz and KER here were their gifts for Baby Nora. The girls brought gifts from themselves and our other college girlfriends-- Lyndsey, Corrie, Kate, and Olivia-- that couldn't make the trip this particular weekend. They really spoiled us.

Out of all the gifts Nora got, two were my favorite and they happen to be the group gifts from all of my LASCO girls. First of all, they gave us an adorable diaper bag embroidered with Nora's name. Inside were children's books--each girl chose her favorite children's book and then wrote a note to Nora in the inside cover. We have quite a library accumulating! Second, in line with a tradition we started in college, the girls each wrote Nora a letter filled with prayers and expressions of their hopes for her future. I cannot wait to show Nora these letters one day so that she can see how dearly she is loved and how so many people have been and are praying for her!

Attached are some pictures of us over the visit. I absolutely love my girls and am so glad they came to visit us! Good friends are such a blessing from the Lord!

Getting Ready for Baby

Well, our little girl could come at anytime now!

I am 38 weeks pregnant today! Only two more weeks until her official due date.
Over the past few months, we have been really busy getting ready for her arrival. We've worked on getting everything together that this little girl will need, and I must tell you.....babies are needy! I had no idea how much stuff we would have to have in order to take care of her. From the stroller to the highchair, from the onesies to the receiving blankets....we've been blessed by the generosity of so many and from the wisdom and experience of our friends and family. This little girl is so spoiled already and she's not even here yet! Also, I must say, thanks to the adorable gifts we've received, my daughter will be very well dressed!

We finally got her nursery completed, so I've attached some pictures for those of you who haven't seen it yet.

The Bradshaw Family Blog

Hello Out There!

This is a totally new world for me...this whole blogging thing. Since Jonathan and I have moved to Knoxville this past May, it seems that anybody who is anybody has a blog! We decided that we needed to join the bandwagon, especially with our baby girl arriving any day now, so here it goes. I think having a blog will also be a great way for our families and friends to keep up with what's going on in our lives on a daily basis.

Here's a quick rundown of what's been happening over the past few months. Jonathan graduated from LSU Dental School in May of this year. After months of praying and God opening up very clear doors for us, we felt him leading us to Knoxville, TN, where Jonathan is doing a General Dentistry Residency at the Univeristy of Tennessee Medical Center. I am just about nine months pregnant with our first daughter, Nora Kathryn Bradshaw. She is due to arrive on August 21st, but we are hoping she will decide to come before then. I am no longer teaching, but thankfully will be a stay-at-home wife and mother. We go to church at Cornerstone Church of Knoxville, a Sovereign Grace church, where we have immediately felt the hospitality, fellowship, and true friendship of so many new people.

As you can see, we have lots going on in our lives currently! We are so excited about all that is happening, especially about the pending arrival of Baby Nora. We'll keep you posted! Thanks for reading.
